PowerShell 7 can’t join with AcceptSelfSignedCert parameter

[ad_1]

Hiya,

I’m utilizing Powershell 7.4.1 and vPro Module model 16.7.0.1. I can’t hook up with TLS enabled hosts with the -AcceptSelfSignedCert parameter. The hosts have thh Intel® AMT self-signed certificates put in. With non TLS purchasers it really works with none downside.

After I run following command with PowerShell 5.6 it really works.

Invoke-AMTPowerManagement $hostFQDN Credential $vproCredential Operation PowerOn TLS AcceptSelfSignedCert

With PowerShell 7.4.1 I get following error on the identical command:

“The distant certificates is invalid based on the validation process: RemoteCertificateNameMismatch, RemoteCertificateChainErrors”

The error seems on line 116 in file Get-AMTPowerState.ps1

$AssociatedObj = $ObjRef.Get()

I couldn’t learn the way to get this working by myself. What do I must do to get the connection working with the parameter -AcceptSelfSignedCert

Is there mybe any Choice lacking within the WsmanConnection Object in Get-AMTPowerState.ps1?

I attempted setting the Choice VerifyCertificates to false however sadly the identical error seems.

$Connection.Choices.VerifyCertificates = $false;

Thanks upfront on your assist!
