I take advantage of the DE0-Nano board for a number of college initiatives and I observed that it’s heating excessively. Utilizing an infrared digital camera, I noticed {that a} part is reaching over 150°C. I think it might be defective and probably short-circuited. I want to know which part it’s, what its objective is, and whether it is related by means of ports or different means. Working in electrically noisy environments, I ponder if it may have coupled with the ability cable or the USB cable. If this part just isn’t important for my purposes, I plan to desolder it.

It is marked as U25 on the FPGA, and LCXY N354 602 (the final two phrases differ relying on the FPGA).
