i purchased a brand new laptop computer just a few weeks in the past, asus expertbook operating twelfth Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-1235U. with the default intel iris xe gpu. 

the max display decision functionality is 1920*1080. i’ve a separate laptop monitor PHL 288E2 that may run 4k show, and for some purpose i can not seem to change the decision to a better decision than 1920*1080. 

I’ve already tried downloading and putting in drivers for the intel iris xe gpu, drivers for the monitor itself. and i have additionally tried switching between just a few HDMI cables (2.0 and above).

the factor is i can see in intel’s graphic command heart that the machine is suitable for 4k show however the needed 3840*2160 choice simply would not seem within the home windows system settings.
